Aims

The aims of the network are to:

  • Improve remote sensing of the Baltic Sea, by sharing expertise, for example at workshops at which scientific results and applications can be discussed;
  • Set up hands-on and theoretical courses in all subjects relevant for Baltic Sea remote sensing research.
  • Create possibilities for exchange visits, which provide students with the opportunity to work in one of the partner institutes for a short time to use dedicated equipment or learn specialized methods.
  • Intensify co-operation in the Nordic and Baltic region, including scientists, users (such as governmental institutes) and providers (small/medium enterprises). Except for adding to the theoretical knowledge and professional experience, this is will broaden the view of the involved partners.
